Description

This is an original colour pencil drawing. I have taken A4 prints from this piece, but this is the original signed drawing.

This original piece of artwork is drawn with artist quality lightfast colour pencils. I’ve then used an additional pencil blending technique before adding more details over the top. This grey heron was drawn from my own photograph of a heron that was standing stock still for ages on the banks of the Truro River near Malpas in Cornwall.

The drawing is 11″ x 14″ (27.9cm x 35.6cm) and it is sold unmounted to allow you to choose the mount and frame that you prefer.

A certificate of authenticity is also included with this piece to document that it is an original artwork.

This piece has been created using Faber Castell polychromos colour pencils which are superior quality with high pigment content and great lightfastness. The paper used is Daler Rowney, heavyweight, Acid free paper.

Buying as a gift

If you would like to purchase this grey heron art as a gift for someone else, it can be sent as a gift to a different delivery address. It can be specially wrapped in tissue and boxed in a ribbon decorated box for an additional charge. The certificate of authenticity will be sent with it.

Commissions

I am always happy to create a bespoke piece of artwork for you, based on any animal or pet, from pictures that you may have (as long as you have permission from the original photographer). I create a lot of my artwork from original photographs that I take myself, usually of local Cornwall wildlife, so that I own the copyright of the original image myself rather than using other peoples images. This means that I can create a truly unique image that has not been drawn by any other artist. There will be prints or other products taken from the original artwork but this is the only original piece.
