Bumblebee original signed artwork

Description

This is an original colour pencil drawing. It was inspired by a photograph that I took in late spring of a bumblebee landing on a red campion flower.

I have taken A4 prints from this piece, but this is the original signed drawing.

The drawing is A5 size so 14.8cm x 21 cm (approximately 6″ x 8″) and it is mounted in a high quality off white A4 mount 21cm x 29.7 cm (approximately 8.5″ x 11.7″) with backboard.

A certificate of authenticity will also be included with this piece to document that it is an original piece.

This piece has been created using Faber Castell polychromos colour pencils which are superior quality with high pigment content and great lightfastness. I’ve then blended the pencils using solvent and then worked back over the top. The paper used is Daler Rowney, heavyweight, Acid free paper.

Buying as a gift

If you would like to purchase this bumblebee art as a gift for someone else, it can be sent as a gift to a different delivery address. It can be specially wrapped in tissue and boxed in a ribbon decorated box for a small additional charge. The certificate of authenticity will be sent with it.

Commissions

I am always happy to create a bespoke piece of artwork for you, based on any animal or pet, from pictures that you may have (as long as you have permission from the original photographer). I create a lot of my artwork from original photographs that I take myself, usually of local Cornwall wildlife, so that I own the copyright of the original image myself rather than using other peoples images. This means that I can create a truly unique image that has not been drawn by any other artist. There will be prints or other products taken from the original artwork but this is the only original piece.
