Description

This is an original colour pencil drawing. It was created during a colour pencil tutorial run by Kirsty Partridge. I have taken A4 prints from this piece, but this is the original signed drawing.

The drawing is A4 size so 21cm x 29.7 cm ( 8.3″ x 11.7″) and it is mounted in a high quality off white A3 mount 29.7cm x 42 cm (approximately 11.7″x16.5″) with backboard.

A certificate of authenticity will also be included with this piece to document that it is an original piece.

This piece has been created using Faber Castell polychromos colour pencils which are superior quality with high pigment content and great lightfastness. The pencils have been blended with a solvent and then more colour pencil has been worked over the top. The paper used is Daler Rowney, heavyweight, Acid free paper.

Buying as a gift

If you would like to purchase this Kingfisher art as a gift for someone else, it can be sent as a gift to a different delivery address. It can be specially wrapped in tissue and boxed in a ribbon decorated box for an additional charge. The certificate of authenticity will be sent with it.

Commissions

I am always happy to create a bespoke piece of artwork for you, based on any animal or pet, from pictures that you may have (as long as you have permission from the original photographer). I usually create a lot of my wildlife artwork from original photographs that I take myself, predominantly of local Cornwall wildlife, so that I own the copyright of the original image myself rather than using other peoples images.  However in this case, the image used is a non royalty picture, that is readily available on the internet and provided through a tutorial. You will find other pieces available that use this image on the internet, but this is my interpretation and my own work.

As a photographer and artist, I have a huge love of wildlife and the natural world. I strive to capture the beauty and personality of each creature that I draw. I also find that the level of detail that is necessary for me to work to create these pieces of artwork, allows me to really feel connected to each bird, mammal, reptile or insect that I draw.
